Our History

When we moved our family to a remote acreage near High Prairie, AB, in 2012, we wanted a dog that would be a family companion but would also protect and care for our family.

Spring Breeze Von Ulvulden was our first female. With a deep, solid build, a smart mind, and a loyal heart, she was a constant companion for our kids. Our first male, Wolfgang Amadeus Svoboden was an excellent match for her in size and temperament. Together, they created some exceptional puppies!
Fast forward to today, and the son of Amadeus and Breeze, Amadues II, along with Savannah Summer Breeze, is carrying on our tradition of producing large black German Shepherds that exhibit loyalty, friendliness, strong guarding instincts, and are constant companions for our family on our outdoor adventures.

Healthy, Stable German Shepherds

At Harbidge Black German Shepherds, our dogs' health is important to us. We have a long-standing relationship with our local vet who has been caring for our dogs for many years. Amadeus and Savannah have both been DM tested and have had their hips and elbows OFA certified after 2 years of age.

Living in a rural home environment with children of all ages and with exposure to living at Summer Camp in the summers, our dogs are socially healthy and flexible, while never losing their watchfulness. Their social stability

further undergirds our commitment to providing sound, healthy dogs for you, your workplace, and your family.
